Wildlife in Athens

Wildlife in Athens is being further extended. There is plenty of wildlife and open space in and around the Acropolis. The pathway and the wildflowers remind one of the countryside surroundings. There are plans converting some of the busy streets also into a park.

The region around the Acropolis has numerous trees, which make it look like a forest. Wildlife of Athens is noteworthy. In the concrete jungle of Athens you will find the national garden which once upon a time belonged to the king of Greece.Wildlife of Athens is truly a paradise. Its cool pathways, trees and ducks make this place tranquil, in contrast to the bustling city of Athens. There are two duck ponds in this garden; the pond is overpopulated with ducks.

In this garden there is also a small zoo which has wolves from Bulgaria, monkeys, hawks, goats, peacocks, buzzards, a lion, canaries and parakeets and an antelope like creature. Wildlife of Athens is worth admiring. The old palaces, the first Olympic stadium, built in 1896 are bounded by forests. The mountain opposite the stadium

houses an infinite variety of trees and plants. The view from this mountain is brilliant, particularly the sunset. On the other side although woody contains farms, houses and lots of barking dogs.
